Voices from Lomé – The Fight for Change
For over five decades, Togo has lived under the iron grip of the Gnassingbé dynasty, where state power is weaponised against citizens. In 2024–2025, repression deepened: protests sparked by the arrest of rapper Aamron were met with brutal crackdowns, torture, media censorship, and internet blackouts. Citizens demand Faure Gnassingbé’s resignation, a return to the 1992 constitution, and relief from rising costs of living. Their call is simple: dignity, justice, and democracy.
